Patricia Brokop

BROKOP, Patricia  (Kottke) nee: Sharun

November 14, 1945 – April 24, 2023

With great sadness we announce the passing of Pat Brokop of Flatbush, AB at the age of 77 years, after a short battle with pneumonia.

She leaves to mourn her husband Karl of 32 years and her children, Kimberley (Daryl) Liber and their children Brooklyn and Kayla all of Fort Saskatchewan, Tracy Rauliuk and her sons Nicholas, Lucas and Taras all of Barrhead. 

Pat is survived by siblings, Eugene (Pam) Sharun, Dean Sharun and Shirley (Ken) Starko; brothers-in-law Emil (Hilda) Brokop, Adam (Irene) Loeffelman. Sisters-in-law Fedelia Sharun, Grace Brokop, Rosalie (Daryl) Bartz and Eileen Loeffelman.  Pat also leaves to mourn many friends, family, cousins, nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her first husband Dick Kottke and infant son Stacy Kottke. Parents Harry and Mabel Sharun, and brother Ken Sharun. Brothers-in-law Ed Brokop and Alfred Loeffelman, sister-in-law Ursula Werner and  niece Cynthia Brokop.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to those who have reached out with prayers and kind words of condolences.

A Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Chipman, AB with interment to follow at  Burderheim Moravian Cemetery, Burderheim, AB.
