Boelee, Sier Nicholaas (NAPA Nick)

It is with profound sadness, that the family of Sier Nicholaas Boelee, announce his peaceful passing from his courageous battle with cancer. Nick made his final journey home on March 3, 2023, at the age of 56 years.

He will be remembered by his sister Conny Priestley, niece Jodi Priestley (Dale), nephew Chris Priestley (Kim), 2 great nephews, Aden Priestley and Bryton Landry, great niece Mackenzie Meyn (Zane) and 5 great-great nieces. He will also be missed by his dear friends and neighbors, Linda Pratt and Avril Campbell, who took their time to assist us in his care.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Marilyn Moore, his brother-in-law, Norm Priestley, and his parents.

Nick was very dedicated to his job. He loved going to work. He spent 12 years as a parts man at NAPA Westlock where he adopted the name “NAPA Nick”. It was here that he developed many friendships and became a mentor to the employees that came later. He also spent many years as a volunteer Fire Fighter on the town and county departments, serving the community. He was also known to many as the “bouncer” at the Westlock Junction where many of his friendships with many local people began.

Nick will always be remembered for his kindness, his wit, and his sarcastic sense of humor. But most of all, his ability to love unconditionally.

The family, wishes to send a very special and sincere thank-you to the Nurses and Staff at the Westlock Health Care Centre. Your support for Nick, and for us during this difficult time, will forever be remembered and appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Nick’s name to the charity of one’s choice.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on March 11, 2023, at Westlock Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd. 10004-105 Street, Westlock, Alberta.
