HUNT, Marie Helen (Johnston)

November 22, 1942 – June 26, 2023

It is with profound sadness that the family of Marie Helen Hunt announce her peaceful passing on June 26, 2023, at the age of 81 years.

She will be remembered by her sons, Jeff, Brad and Trevor; grandchildren, Jordan, Candice, Ashley, Nick, Riley, Breanne, and Warren as well as five great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Gordon, brother Wayne and her parents Dorothy and George Johnston.

Marie Johnston was born at the Westlock Immaculata Hospital on November 22, 1942.  Marie grew up in the Pibroch area where she met her future husband, Gordon.  She spent her adult years raising three sons and working as a nursing attendant at the Westlock Auxiliary Hospital.  Her senior years were spent going for coffee with good friends and going above and beyond to care for her grand and great grandchildren.

At Marie’s request, no service will be held.  Her family will celebrate her life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made in Marie’s name to Westlock Continuing Care Centre 10203 – 96 Street, Westlock, AB T7P 2R3.
