It is with Great Sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Manfred Meyer of Edmonton, AB at the age of 85 years. Manfred (Fred) will be lovingly remembered by his Brothers Rolf (Lynda) Meyer of Devon, Kurt Meyer of Germany, his Children; Peter Meyer of Edmonton, AB; Brenda (David Ross) of Spruce Grove, AB; Susanne Meyer of Alberta Beach, AB Grandchildren; Nicole (Greg) Yost , Susan (Kent) Swanson ; Danny (Jeff) Ross; Lindy (Chris) Keeler; Ryan (Michelle) Juhasz, Steven (Dayle) Juhasz , Kyle Juhasz; and 8 Great Grandchildren Harleigh, Julia, Eli, Tyler, Rhys, Janie, Sylvie and Charlotte ; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Manfred was predeceased by his cherished wife, Ruth Meyer (nee Schoenleber), son Kurt Meyer, Parents Kurt (Ida) Meyer. Manfred was born and raised in Bremen, Germany, he played soccer as well as was an avid Boxer and began his apprenticeship as a Painter/Decorator which in turn became his lifelong career
Manfred left Germany at the age of 19 and arrived in Edmonton, AB , where he met and married his beloved wife Ruth, together they had 4 children. Fred worked with Orlovsky Painting of Edmonton for many years, after his beloved wife Ruth passed he moved to Jasper, AB where he worked for The Jasper Park Lodge and then Jasper Park Painting until his Retirement which consisted of many enjoyable afternoons with many of his Memorable Friends of the Jasper Atha-B. Fred will always be remembered for his Charismatic Nature.
Dad: You gave no one a last farewell as you left this world to be in the Arms of your Loving Angels who have gone before you. You will always be in our Hearts.
