MACLEAN, James Patrick

James Patrick MacLean passed away on March 31, 2021 in Redwater, Alberta at the age of 74 years. Jim will be remembered by his wife Sylvia of 29 years, his son Chris (Blair) and their daughters Kennedy and Kamryn of Calgary, stepdaughter Michelle (Rob) Duffy and their sons Tyler and Kyle of St. Paul, stepdaughter Carmen (Dave) Samson and their son Brady also of St. Paul, stepson Darcy (Alicia) Boisvert and their sons Porter and Paxton of Beaumont and Papa’s special granddaughter Maddyson of Edmonton and her family. Also left to cherish his memory is his brother Dick (Barb) and their family, sister Kathy (DD), sister Val (Garry) Huff. He was predeceased by his parents Wayne and Muriel MacLean and parents in law Real and Therese Auger as well as brother Floyd. The family wishes to thank Doctor Mouton as well as our dear pharmacist Theo of Redwater. Heartfelt thank yous go out to nephew Gregg Bauwens and his wife Heather for their never-ending love and support, nephews Trevor, Dave and Randy Borduzak who never refused having a “cold one” with Uncle Jim. The family also wishes to thank Aunty Henriette (Jim) Borduzak for supporting Mom always and forever. Jim was a longtime member of Local 488 and a Syncrude employee while we lived in Ft. McMurray. Thank you to his work friends who have reached out to us, as well as neighbors, mom’s co-workers in Edmonton, Redwater, Fort Saskatchewan and Ken at IGA.

Due to covid restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place as per Jim’s wishes. Those wishing to honor him and to recognize our family members who are Paramedic/Fire Fighter, Volunteer Fire Fighter, our nurse and our caregivers within our family, may make donations to STARS so that we always continue to be in good hands.
