Ian McCrimmon

On Tuesday, November 16, 2021, Ian McCrimmon, passed away at the Westlock Continuing Care Centre with his wife, Lucille at his side.

Ian was born in the district of Lochee in the Burgh of Dundee, Scotland to Ronald and Jemima (McLeod Thomson) McCrimmon on April 1, 1946.  Ian is the second oldest child of three siblings.  His older sister, Rhona and his younger twin sisters Gena and Morag.  The family all moved to Canada in 1957 where they settled in Vancouver, BC.

Ian married Lucille (Parson) McCrimmon in March 1975 in Ashcroft, BC.  Ian worked several jobs over the years including dispatching for Grey Hound and working in sales.  Ian was well known as someone who was always willing to lend a hand.

Ian was predeceased in death by his father, Ronald (2009); mother, Jemima (2018) and his sister, Morag (2020).

Ian is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lucille.  His son Iain (Mai) and grand-daughter Summer.  His daughter Tami (Shane) and grand-daughters Katie, Megan (Neil); grandson Matt (Cassandra) and great grand-daughter Isla.  His sisters Gena and Rhona (Keith); brother-in-law Doug and numerous nephews and their families.

We as a family extend our heartfelt thanks to the Nursing and Medical Staff of the Westlock Healthcare Centre, the Smithfield Lodge and the Westlock Continuing Care Centre for their kindness, caring and compassion over the past three years.

As per Ian’s wishes there will be no funeral service and he has been cremated.
