It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Emil Track on January 2, 2022. Emil was born on October 10, 1934. He lived a lifetime on the farm near Thorhild until his passing.
He is survived by his sisters, Jean (Edward) Mushtuk of Edmonton, and Beverly (Edward) Wawzonek of Calgary; nephews, Leonard (Shelley) Mushtuk of Edmonton, Gary Mushtuk of Fort McMurray; niece, Caroline (Kevin) Gostlin of Yellowknife; grandnephew, Nolan Mushtuk of Edmonton; grandniece and grandnephew Savannah and Finnnegan Gostlin of Yellowknife, also survived by relative Sam (Anita) Nazaruk, Salmon Arm, BC as well as many cousins and other relatives.
He was predeceased by his father John, mother Rose, and sister Alexandra Track all of which were in a tragic automobile accident in 1955.
A Private Family service will be held on Wednesday January 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Waugh, Alberta with Burial to follow. Although the service is private, it will be broadcasted via radio. Please feel free to come park and sit in your vehicle to listen to the service and the burial. Please refrain from leaving your vehicle. A funeral attendant will come to your car to give you direction.
