Nadeau, Elaine Karen

December 3, 1958 - June 21, 2023

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that the family of Elaine Karen Nadeau (Wierenga) announce her passing on June 21, 2023,  with her family by her side, after a long battle but courageous battle with her illness.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, partner and best friend of 30 plus years Herve.  Elaine also leaves to mourn her 2 daughters, Melina Rau of Red Deer, AB, and Stacy (Colin) Loitz of Barrhead, AB and her 3 shining lights, her grandchildren, Mara, Carlee and Sadie, who will greatly miss their Meme.

Elaine also is survived by her 3 brothers, Tony (Shirley), John (Patty) and Rob (Sandra), along with many nieces, nephews and a large group of close friends who will surely miss her bright smile, that lit up any room.

Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Joseph A and Hilda Wierenga.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023, 10:00 AM at the St. Benoit Parish in Pickardville, AB

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Wepener and the staff at the Barrhead HealthCare Center for their kindness and compassion during Elaine’s stay.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Elaine’s name be direct to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
