ARNDT, Shelly (Dzivinski)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shelly Arndt of Sherwood Park, Alberta at age 52 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Shelly was a loving wife to her husband of 30 years, Darius Arndt, and a caring mother to their two children, their son Austin and daughter Tristin.
Shelly was born and raised in Westlock AB, on a farm by her parents William and Elsie Dzivinski along with her brother Jim, Sister Lorna and brother Rick. She is predeceased by her brother Robert. After completing her diploma at Westlock Community Highschool, Shelly pursued a career in healthcare in which she left a legacy of nurture and care. Shelly’s small stature did not compare to the large amount of love, compassion, care, or empathy she was able to radiate to others around her and will forever be cherished by many.
She was touched by the never-ending great care of her nurses throughout her battle. If desired a memorial tribute may be made in Shelly’s name to the Cross Cancer Institute or to the Grey Nuns Hospital Palliative Care Unit. A service will be held at 1pm on Saturday November 16th at the Westlock & District Community Hall. We lay our fighter Shelly to rest peacefully, where she will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
