Gwen and Joe moved to Alberta from Ontario in 1975, settled into Pibroch in 1978, and quickly it became her home. Many will remember Gwen from her years of service with HnR block and her volunteer work with FCSS filing taxes. Or perhaps you were one of those who received one of her beautiful knitted sweaters. She treasured her community and all the friends she made along the way and was quick to give back where she could.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many who supported Gwen through her life and her illness. We invite you to the memorial service which will be held Thursday April 25, at 10am at the Westlock Funeral Home with refreshments and fellowship at Pibroch Hall to follow. Interment will be at the Pibroch cemetery at a later date.
While Gwen loved flowers, she asked for donations in lieu be made to the Cross Cancer Institute to fight this terrible disease that has impacted so many. Donations can be handled through the Westlock Funeral Home at 10004 105st, Westlock AB, T7P 1V2.
